  • The WIHSEA had it’s State Championship recently, graciously hosted by NTC in Wausau WI! Below are a few of the results. There were over 200 attendees at the event, including participants, colleges recruiting, parents and spectators. Additional highlight included the distribution of (3) $500 academic scholarships granted to interns for their awesome work in the supporting the organization throughout the year.   • WCRL first LAN tournament was a massive success! The top 16 teams across Wisconsin competed for the season championship. UW-Madison edged off UW-Stout taking the WCRL Spring victory. Throughout the season they honored one of Carthage’s players “Ice” who recently passed away. With Carthage, they recognized this student by dedicating a MVP trophy in his name. The seasons MVP was awarded to UW- Platteville’s very own “Fluffball”. 

 

  • Tier1 Gaming recently kicked off Battle for Milwaukee, as an event that would show that they have a place for regular in-person gaming tournaments in Milwaukee. They have been doing weekly tournaments every Thursday for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Guilty Gear -Strive-. The tournaments have grown to about 40 attendees and now they are looking to branch out to include regular tournaments for other games.
