02 Apr Milwaukee Esports Alliance and Discovery World Launch Esports Pilot Activation This Fall
Milwaukee, WI — The Milwaukee Esports Alliance and Discovery World are proud to announce the launch of a pilot partnership bringing esports programming into one of Wisconsin’s premier educational institutions. Starting this September, Discovery World and the Milwaukee Esports Alliance will collaborate to transform two reimagined lab spaces into dynamic hubs of gaming, competition, and education.
Offering more than ten lab spaces typically utilized for educational workshops, field trips, and summer camp programs, Discovery World and Milwaukee Esports Alliance will temporarily transform two informal educational spaces into hubs of esports activities, including:
- Collegiate matches between Milwaukee-area universities
- Super Smash Bros. Ultimate middle school competition in December
- Fundraising collaborations with local non-profit organizations
“We couldn’t be more excited to work with one of Milwaukee’s—and Wisconsin’s—premier organizations in community education,” said Brandon Tschacher, President of the Milwaukee Esports Alliance. “Discovery World integrating esports continues to show the rising awareness and opportunity that it provides. We’re thrilled to see where this can grow, and what kind of impact it can have on the next generation.”
The pilot initiative is designed to test new avenues and bring esports programming into educational spaces while enhancing community access and engagement. Discovery World, which serves more than 45,000 students on field trips annually, is uniquely positioned to host immersive esports experiences that inspire learning, leadership, and digital literacy.

The partnership reflects both organizations’ shared commitment to future-focused learning and access to emerging technologies. If successful, the pilot program is expected to evolve into a larger, long-term initiative beginning in 2026.
